I am really happy to report to you that all is well and my practicals are going well too. I did not expect to find such an amazing team here. They have been very supportive to us and other students, giving us hands-on experience and guiding us step by step in patient care.
I am also gaining valuable experience by learning and understanding different patient conditions. I have come across cases such as hypertension, dementia, diabetes, and stroke (CVA), among others. This has helped me improve my knowledge in observing symptoms, assisting with daily living activities, and understanding how to care for patients with different needs such as oxygen support, incontinence care, wound dressing, and mobility challenges.
Being exposed to these conditions has really boosted my confidence and practical skills. I am learning how to be patient, attentive, and professional when dealing with residents, especially those with dementia and other chronic conditions.
